Planning a visit to Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside
Nickelodeon is divided between two floors with lift access, stairs as well as escalators.
Please be aware that on wet weather days during school holidays and weekends, the attraction can get very busy. Although we don’t have a maximum capacity, we are very aware of a sensible limit of visitors and will stop admitting people when we reach this. This means that if you visit on a wet day, please be advised that you may have to potentially queue for a while outside without cover followed by additional queues to get on some rides including Donatello’s Ninja Flyers in TMNT Action Zone and Mrs Puff’s boating school in Bikini Bottom as well as character meet and greet queues.
Nickelodeon is open 364 days per year (closed Christmas Day) and is an all-weather attraction, suitable for any weather condition.
Disabled Tickets
Nickelodeon offers a reduced rate for disabled visitors and one free carer per paying disabled visitor. Proof of disability and carer registration is required to receive this. Please do not be offended by our staff asking – some disabilities are not visible and we try to treat all visitors the same.
Proof of disability can be:
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Personal Independent Payment (PIP)
- Blue Badge (please note, if you are displaying your Blue Badge for disabled parking, please ensure you take a photograph of the front and back to use as proof at Admissions).
- Disability Bus Pass
- Access Card
- National Disabled Identification Card (DID)
Proof of Carer
- Valid Carers Card
- Carers allowance letter
- Any other valid form of proof
(Documentation should be dated within the last 24 months)
If you do require a registered carer ticket this will need to be claimed on arrival when presenting your proof.
If you have any questions or need further assistance regarding our disabled and carer tickets, please email info@nickelodeonadventure.co.uk
For visitors with additional needs
These are just a few suggestions to help you get the best out of your visit.
- Plan ahead – we appreciate that sometimes it’s reassuring to know what to expect during your visit. On our website, you’ll find opening times, directions, character meet and greet info and much more, so please do feel free to browse.
- Avoid busy days – for visitors who prefer not to be here during our busier times, we would recommend that you visit outside of the school holidays and on weekdays where possible. We would advise going for our last time slot which is 12 pm on weekdays and 2 pm on weekends and school holidays.
- For those with sensory needs, and wanting to meet our characters, if they feel overwhelmed in the character meet and greet queues, please talk to a member of staff and we can arrange a meet in a quieter area, subject to availability.
Toilets and changing tables
There is an accessible toilet and baby changing area located on the first floor between Slime Café and Adventure Bay and another baby changing facility located near Slime café.
Visitors using wheelchairs and personal mobility devices
Nickelodeon is divided into two floors with lift access. There are large open spaces for access. Please use caution when operating electronic mobility devices, wheelchairs, walking sticks, or prams. Please speak to a member of staff and they will be able to help you with any further assistance.
Buggy Park and locker room facilities
There is a locker room and buggy park located on the first floor at the front entrance where visitors can leave their valuable belongings and buggies for the duration of their visit. Visitors will need to bring £1 to use the locker room facilities. Although a key is necessary for the locker room, please note that any personal items not locked up and left unattended by the customer, is at their own risk.
Transportation and parking
Lakeside Shopping Centre provides multi-storey parking including disabled and parent/ child spaces. Passenger lifts and escalators give easy access from each car park directly to shopping centre and Nickelodeon Adventure. There are spaces reserved especially for disabled visitors in Car Park 10/Blue, and other dedicated spaces in Car Park 4 and Car Park D. There are spaces reserved especially for parents in Car Park D, Car Park 10, Car Park 5 and Car Park 4.
Disabled spaces: 393
Parent & child spaces: 140
Assistance dogs
Dogs are not allowed into the attraction unless they are ADUK registered assistance dogs or guide dogs. Relevant documentation will need to be emailed to us prior to your visit at info@nickelodeonadventure.co.uk or presented on arrival. Unfortunately, emotional support animals do not have the same training or legal recognition within the UK as assistance dogs and therefore our staff are not permitted to look after them.
First aid
If you require first aid, a member of staff who is first aid trained will be able to help you and assist.
